2010 Science Club Science Fair Committee MemberScience Fair Projects leaves a lasting positive memory and experience on the students that participates in it. This is exactly what we'd like to give to our students. Join this committee and help improve the Science Fair Project Program at our Science Clubs. The goal of this committee is to build a program that will get some of our students to at least participate in the Toronto city wide Science Fair.
2010 Symposium Event Coordinators (~6 positions available)VoSNL is holding its annual Science Symposium on May 8th 2010. We are looking for individuals with event planning experience (or interest in having event planning experience) to help us plan and coordinate the event. Administrative Assistant (10 positions available)Help organize and/or maintain VoSNL Office space. You can volunteer for just one day or on a weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly or monthly basis. A minimum of 4 hours per day of volunteering is required. For details please click on the position link to the left.
Curriculum Developer (~50 positions available)Make an experiment module for our Gr5 to Gr8 weekly Science Clubs on a topic in Science, Engineering and/or Technology that interests YOU. The best part about it is that you can work from home and also have the option to work in a team with two or more of your friends to put the experiment together. Also, you dont even have to be in Toronto or in Canada to take up this volunteer position. You can do it from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access. Curriculum Reviewer (~20 positions available)Review an existing experiment module for our free Gr5 to Gr8 weekly Science Clubs and help improve the QUALITY of our program. The best part about it is that you can work from home and also have the option to work in a team with two or more of your friends to edit the experiment together. Also, you dont even have to be in Toronto or in Canada to take up this volunteer position. You can do it from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access. Maths & Science TutorsWant to help improve the Maths or Sciences (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) of a gr5 to gr12 or college or university level student? Then become a tutor for VoSNL and we'll pair you up with one or two students that you can tutor on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. For more details click on the position link to the left.
Science Club Facilitator (~50 positions available)Join a team of enthusiastic volunteers and help run one of VoSNL's free Gr5 to Gr8 Science Clubs. We have 8 locations to choose from across the G.T.A. Please click on position link to the left for the locations and position details.
Special Workshop Developers / FacilitatorsWant to help develop and present a gr5 to gr8 workshop on Dental Hygiene, Diabetes, Various Cancers, Nutrition or on Climate Change? (We are open to new ideas as well). We are looking one person or a group of people (You can work with your friends) to help make the content of one of the above workshops and present it at our science clubs.
